WPT Global Spins: Jackpot Sit & Gos up to 6,000x

Global Spins is WPT Global’s take on the lottery Sit & Go: three players, a random multiplier and a fast blind structure. The top draw of 6,000x also unlocks a progressive jackpot that, according to the room, often tops $100,000. Below are the buy-ins, the full odds table and what the format really costs.

What Global Spins is

Each Global Spins game is a three-handed single-table tournament. The prize pool is unknown until all three seats are filled; then a random draw sets a multiplier between 2x and 6,000x the buy-in.

Buy-ins are $1, $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100, and you can play up to four games at once. Every buy-in level has its own progressive jackpot, which is shown in the lobby.

How a game runs

Register, wait for two opponents and watch the multiplier draw. The multiplier also sets the starting stack: 400 chips at 2x, 500 at 3x, 600 at 5x, 700 at 10x, 800 at 25x and 1,000 chips from 100x upward. Bigger prizes therefore get slightly deeper play.

Blinds go up every four hands, so most games are over within minutes. Below 10x the winner takes everything; from 10x upward second and third place are paid as well.

Multipliers, odds and the jackpot

WPT Global publishes the distribution per million games: 2x comes up 492,067 times, 3x 396,822, 5x 100,000, 10x 10,000, 25x 1,000, 120x 100, 240x 10 and 6,000x just once. In other words, roughly nine games in ten are worth only 2x or 3x.

At 6,000x the winner gets 5,000x and the other two players 500x each — and the accumulated jackpot for that buy-in is added to the prize pool. The jackpot is funded by 1% of every entry, on top of a 5% rake, so 6% of each buy-in goes to fees and the jackpot.

How it compares with other rooms

PokerStars Spin & Go multipliers reach 10,000x, and 888poker’s BLAST runs from 2x to 10,000x on buy-ins from $0.10 to $100. Winamax Expresso offers prizes of up to €2,000,000, with a €1M top prize from a €2 buy-in.

Global Spins has a lower ceiling multiplier, but the progressive jackpot on top of the 6,000x prize is a distinctive feature. The trade-off is the same everywhere: almost all the prize money from the rare top draws comes out of the many 2x and 3x games.

Who it suits

The format fits players who have little time and enjoy short, aggressive poker: push-fold decisions and three-handed dynamics matter more than deep post-flop skill. It also suits those who like the lottery element of a random prize.

Players looking for steady, low-variance results should look elsewhere. Even a strong Spins player will go through long stretches without a big multiplier, so bankroll requirements are higher than the small buy-ins suggest.

Tips and responsible play

Learn push-fold ranges for short stacks and three-handed play; they decide most Global Spins games. Start at the lower buy-ins, keep a large reserve of buy-ins and avoid jumping stakes after a lucky win.

Treat the 6,000x jackpot as a pleasant long shot, not a plan. Set limits on deposits and session length, and stop when the games stop being fun. Formats and rules can change, so check the Global Spins page in the client for current details.
